Finding Halal Food is broken

Despite over 3.4 million Muslims just in the U.S. and over 80 million people worldwide, finding Halal food remains a pain point. People rely on word-of-mouth, outdated directories, or risk incomplete Google results—often unsure whether a restaurant truly serves Halal meat. There was no central, culturally-relevant platform focused specifically on discovery, trust, and variety.

Some, like my parents, stick to just a handful of restaurants they keep going back to. That's not bad, loyalty is important for small businesses. However, there are new Halal place opening up frequently that needs to be exposed to Muslims, and who need the support of their community.

Zabihah was created to address these challenges by providing a centralized, trusted platform tailored to the Muslim community. With over 50,000 halal listings worldwide, it helps users confidently discover new halal restaurants, markets, and prayer spaces, fostering trust and supporting local businesses beyond familiar favorites.
